The Bible gives us much instruction when it comes to forgiveness. Without forgiveness of our sins, we are separated from God. In other for God to forgive us, we first need to forgive those who have done us wrong. This does not only mend our relationships with God but it also give us control of our lives from hurt emotions. The Bible has many verses that speaks to forgiveness to retain from becoming bitter and defiling those around us. Here are some scriptures about the power of forgiveness.
Matthew 6 vs. 14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Ephesians 4 vs. 31-32 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Acts 7 vs. 59-60 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. 60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
